A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT:

XRISTOS ANESTI

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your President during these past four years. With the support of an exceptional board, we were able to keep the club operating through unprecedented difficulties. I am grateful for their cooperation, hard work, dedication, consideration, and motivation that has been inspiring.

The stress and difficulty of the pandemic was hard to tolerate. Through the

guidelines and lockdowns, the loss of friends and family members, we were left unable to gather as a community. Regardless, we persevered and remained in communication with one another to make sure we were healthy and safe. I thank all the members at large for your compassion, support and understanding.

For our Philanthropic Luncheons, I would like to thank all the ladies involved in chairing the events along with their amazing committees, and especially the members for their support, interest, and participation. The Club raised and donated $8,850.00 to The INN, an agency that addresses and helps those is need, as well as $7,500.00 to St. Basil’s Academy to assist with providing essential assistance to children and families in crisis. Thank you all for making both events so successful and creating a lasting impact on others lives.

In addition, this unique situation activated our problem solving skills to think outside of the box and find easier ways to communicate. Along with our newsletter we created our own website. I would like to acknowledge and thank Penny Lambrakis and Elizabeth Zuvekas for spearheading this effort and George Lambrakis, for his assistance in creating the page. Your diligent work is very much appreciated.

I extend my best wishes and offer of assistance to the new Board; I know whoever is elected will do a great job for the Club and all its members.

Thank you again for allowing me to serve you and have a great summer.

Warm Regards,

Lisa Glavas
